Getting Around

-Buses are the most common mode of transportation.

-In all cities except Haifa, trains and buses do not run on the Saturdays, Jewish Sabbath and Holy days.

-Some less expensive sherut taxis follow a regular route and carry as many as seven people in a large car.

-Many people find it more convenient to travel this way between big cities, such as Jerusalem and Tel Aviv.

-From the top (Eilat) to the bottom (nahariya) of Israel about 4.5 hours long.
